Description:
Deltirab DSR is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease by relieving the symptoms of acidity such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. It also neutralizes the acid and promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.
Mechanism of action:
Rabeprazole belongs to a class of medications called proton pump inhibitors. It blocks the activity of the proton pumps in the stomach wall that produce acid, thereby reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach.
Domperidone belongs to a class of medicines known as dopamine antagonists. Domperidone acts by helping food move faster through the food pipe, stomach and gut; thus normalizing the digestion process.
Side effects:
Some common side effects include Dry mouth, Headache, Drowsiness, Diarrhea.
